Top Ten Ways to Go Green

1) Throw away anything in your home that has a caution label, skull and crossbones warning, or unsafe for kids warning.

If it is, that toxic, you do not want it in your home nor near your person and especially little ones. Their bodies, being smaller, accumulate toxins into a smaller package and can get seriously hurt for life with these poison. This is not ingesting them but being anywhere near them!

2) Only buy and use in your home, products that are of a natural base and could be eaten.

Conventional products that are commonly accepted as household cleaners and beauty items are extremely toxic to the body! They contain all sorts of chemical concoctions that alter the body systems and disrupt the balance. They permanently affect the nervous system and the brain and are major sources of cancer.

3) Use only products that are eco-friendly or environmentally safe for our earth.

It goes beyond our body and our home toxicity, out to our streams, rivers and lakes. Toxins used are abusing the earth, not only in their use but in their production.

4) Walk where you can and limit your carbon footprint on the earth as much as possible.

Any way we can cut our impact on the earth by the way we live, is a life of integrity and appreciation for the home that we have been given. Many take it for granted but our earth is suffering, as is now very clear. The natural ecosystem has been dramatically altered and humans are to blame, by how they have lived.

5) Eat as much in harmony with the earth as you can.

We want to do our best to eat as much fresh, organic food as we can. To eat vegetation of the earth, food grown directly in the soil of the earth, creates a harmonizing with the earth and with the materials our bodies were created from. This creates a body humming with green energy.

6) Have a kindness for all creatures, be they human or animal, who are fellow sharers of our planet.

Do no harm. Be a plant eater not a consumer of meat. Factory farming is the number one source of harm to our environment due to the methane gas release from cattle.

7) Get as much green into your body as you can.

Green plants are the respiratory system of our earth. They breathe for us and create our breath. We depend on them for life. When we eat them, we have more life and more energy and vitality. We have a better respiratory system and circulatory system, as a result. Think green, drink green, be green.

8) Choose only organic, non genetically modified foods.

Organic food tastes better, has more nutrients, is cleaner, more toxin free, not been genetically altered and is healthier for you. Going green means organic, all the way.

9) Grow a garden, join a co-op.

The best way to know what is in your food is to grow it or buy it from a farmer you know and trust. It saves money and keeps you healthy!
The joy and satisfaction of growing a garden, tending to it and eating the results, is immeasurable. We have all heard that "one is closest to God in one's garden" and this is close to total truth. After all, the first man and woman we not only put in the perfect and beautiful garden but were given the job to tend it.

10) Be a walking talking healthy person, by choosing the cleanest food you can eat.

Imagine the people around you are all healthy and happy. You know how sad it is when our friends and relatives die due to food borne illness (most deaths are due to poor food choices)?
Now imagine the example you are when you care for your body, tend to the home you were given and guard that as a sacred trust. It will spread to those around you, there is no way it will not. When they see you and how you look and feel because of how you eat, at some point they will ask you how they can have it too. Be a leader in clean food not a follower in food borne illness.
