3 Answers About Blogging

What am I going to blog about..?
The blog content can be problematic, especially for someone who is not in the habit of creating content daily. There are several methods of developing content, I will discuss a couple simple ones. First, get a notebook that will fit in your pocket and carry a pen with you at all times.

Ideas are everywhere, you merely have to be aware and make notes. As you gather a large quantity of notes and as you start to become aware as to what will be a great topic, you will suddenly have all sorts of ideas for blog content. A second idea is to configure Google reader to gather information for you. Some prolific bloggers have more than 100 topics in their Google reader and new articles are appearing every hour.
How am I going to get people to see my articles..?

Article promotion is not that difficult. The first step, after creating your article is to upload it to a prominent article hosting site. People will see the article on that site and then will probably follow the link to your site. The articles posted to better article sites draw traffic to your site for years, the more content rich articles that you post, the more traffic that is drawn to your site. Keywords, when well researched will allow the search engines to show your site.

Of course the search engine will examine your content, if the content is good, the search engine will be glad to move your site higher on the search results pages. As you accumulate a good number of well prepared articles on your site, more and more traffic will be directed to it by the search engines. Further, you can promote your articles by using the social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook. Social media sites have a tremendous impact and if you have content that is valued, you will gain a following that wants to read your materials.

How am I going to get paid... ? After all, I spend a lot of time developing my content, I have expenses operating my site, how am I going to recover my costs and generate some income?
The payment for blogging is an indirect result. The readers are going to read your articles and determine if they like and trust your work and your opinions. The more they like you the more easily they return to visit the site.

Once they begin to value your work, they are going to want to join your mailing list so that they can stay up to date, and that is when you will have an opportunity to market to them. Once you develop a skill as a blogger and have excellent content, there will be other blogs that will want you to provide guest content for which they may be willing to pay. There are services which actually seek bloggers to provide content for them for a fee. It is easy to search for these firms using Google.

Blogging can be a most rewarding activity, gather ideas, write about them, post the articles, reap the rewards.
